As we arrived at our Airbnb accommodation, we were immediately captivated by the unique charm of the treehouse retreat. Tucked away among towering oak trees, the cozy abode offered breathtaking views of the lush countryside. The thoughtfully designed interior provided all the comforts we needed, with rustic yet modern furnishings and large windows that allowed nature to seep into every corner. Waking up to the sounds of chirping birds and enjoying evening sunsets from the private deck became cherished moments of tranquility.

Fredericksburg is a delightful town known for its German heritage, wineries, and captivating landscapes. During our stay, we discovered several must-visit attractions:


  • Main Street Take a leisurely stroll down Main Street, lined with charming shops and cafes such as Java Ranch Coffee & Provisions, galleries, and restaurants. The historic buildings exude a distinct old-world charm, inviting visitors to step back in time. There's always something to see when strolling down Main Street!

  • Enchanted Rock State Natural Area Venture a short distance outside Fredericksburg to witness the majestic beauty of Enchanted Rock. This pink granite dome offers stunning panoramic views and is a hiker's paradise. Be sure to check out this video from one of visits to this magical rock formation!

  • Winery Tours Fredericksburg boasts a thriving wine industry. Explore the numerous wineries and vineyards in the area, indulging in tastings and savoring the rich flavors of the region.

Our favorite spot was a collection of food trucks just outside of town in Johnson City, surrounding the Johnson City Coffee Shop. A must-visit stop is Christoph's Herencia Cuisine food truck, where we had perhaps the best Brussels sprouts and avocado toast we've had in the whole state!

A visit to Fredericksburg is incomplete without experiencing its rejuvenating spas. After a day of exploration, pamper yourself with a relaxing massage or soak in the healing waters of the town's renowned wellness centers.
